I am a collector based in the United States named Leah. I have been collecting since I was probably 6 or 7 years old, gained a large collection of over 100 Breyer models until I was about 18, then sold all of them off and decided to refocus my collection completely to what it is now, and what it will continue to become. I now focus mostly on growing my show string for live shows.
Outside of model horse collecting, I am a writer for an online publication, an artist, and enjoy spending time with my boyfriend, playing with my two cats, video games, movies, and various other small hobbies. I have been getting into model horse painting and have even created my own original sculptures. I have also designed tattoos, painted canvases, and for a while I was fascinated with animation. I used to do more personal writing but as of right now all of my muse goes into my work!
As of right now, I am focusing primarily on artist resins and minis. I have nearly eliminated my traditional plastic collection due to losing interest and also feeling that they tend to be a toss up at live shows whether they'll do well or not. Seeing resins I chose and designed win feels a lot more accomplished than that!
I do on occasion acquire various other models that help expand and diversify my show string, and also just because I thoroughly enjoy them.
