Now that there is for sure two shows coming up (Off To The Races Live! on April 22 and North Star Live on May 13), I'm finally finishing up my show string in preparation. I tend to stick to certain breed types which gets me stuck in just a few divisions that I load with the max amount - and still have some left over! But lately I have added some RR traditional Breyers to expand the amount of divisions I can show in. Recently I added a Beachcomber, the new Croi Flagship special, as my one and only pony. That's right, I have absolutely NO other ponies in my entire collection. I also added Valegro as a European Warmblood and a Lady Phase for stock since I was lacking on those, as well. Spanish and gaited breeds are my area of interest but I don't have room for more. Right now I feel pretty confident with where I'm at.
With the addition of Zahrat, the second SM club release, I'll be bringing 40 horses with me - a pretty big jump from the 20 I brought for my first show. Another fun thing is that my mom has decided to come with me to this next show since it is in her home town. This'll be the first model horse show she's ever attended (she's not a collector, herself, and doesn't know much about the hobby) but she's excited to be a part of it. We're going to make a weekend trip out of it and spend some time in the town and hanging out with some old friends of her. It should be a great weekend! North Star Live was officially announced for May 13 and I have sent my entry in, but I will most likely be attending that one alone like last year.
It'll be a busy few weeks!
This will be my personal blog I'll use to talk about the going-ons of my hobby experience and who knows what else with rambles.
