I came home yesterday after a busy weekend! Off To The Races Live was a blast, despite some drama, and I walked away with a small stack of ribbons, a raffle prize, and fun memories. This was my show table:
Out of my 40 horses, I came back with 4 fresh NAN cards. The competition was tough - there were hundreds of horses being shown and most of the OF classes, both large and mini, were always loaded. I'm especially proud of a few placings in particular. Tezari was damaged just a month before the show, paint badly scraped on his show side, and I thought for sure his show career was over. Luckily, I sent him off to Meghan Namaste and she fixed him back up and sent him back to me ready to show. He got himself a first place and his second NAN card! My chestnut Lady Phase managed to pull a fifth in an extremely huge OF Breyer QH class, for a $30 purchase she was up against some pricy ponies and placed well.
All in all, it was a fun weekend and I have to give major props to the show host for all the work they put into setting everything up and running the show throughout the day. Next up is North Star Live on May 13th and then Raise The Roof Live in June after that!
This will be my personal blog I'll use to talk about the going-ons of my hobby experience and who knows what else with rambles.
