Whoops, I guess it's been a few months since I posted! I've been super busy with a lot of things - preparing a move to Europe and house hunting over there in May, visiting family in Arizona in June, and spending the summer on the road all over the US with my boyfriend. We even managed to squeeze a very last minute trip to Breyerfest! I met up with one of my very best friends and closest hobby friend, who I hosted a live show with in March, and we spent Friday at Breyerfest. This was also my boyfriends first real model horse event and to say he was a bit overwhelmed is probably an understatement, but we know how that is! He funded the trip and was there every bit of it and I am, as always, extremely grateful for him.
He also took some photos while we enjoyed the experience (click to enlarge and see captions):
My boyfriend kept my wallet safe for me, but I did manage to walk away with three single day stablemates and a new resin, the new version of Kim Murray's welsh pony resin Auron in a mini-me SM scale.
After a week of downtime, I managed to sneak in a last minute entry to a show in Omaha, NE: Wild-N-Free Live. It was a small but very fun show where I showed mostly resins and judged the traditional custom division. Not only did I have a great time hanging out with showers from the region, I also managed to get NAN cards for almost all of the horses I brought, sectional champs and reserve champs for most of them, and two division grand reserve champions. In the mini artist resin callbacks, I managed to have 6 horses on the table!
friend Rachel, mentioned earlier. She sent me nearly all her resins and customs and I'll be showing about 50 horses of ours after all is said and done, including that hunky new Andre she got a Breyerfest! That show is September 8th, so I'll definitely be posting about that once it has happened. Let's hope it went as well as it did last year, or better!
This will be my personal blog I'll use to talk about the going-ons of my hobby experience and who knows what else with rambles.
